Alejandro “Alex” Gonzalez
Doctor of Physical Therapy
PARC started as the dream of its founder Alejandro “Alex” Gonzalez. Alex grew up playing a number of sports, this is where his passion for exercise, training, and health began.
Alex’s extensive training while playing high school basketball led to chronic pain in the knee. He was referred to a physical therapist, where he saw the profession from the position of the patient. Right then and there, he knew this is what he was born to do and he decided that he would someday become a physical therapist.
In 2007, Alex earned his Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences and immediately began the Doctoral program for Physical Therapy. Following his love for health and exercise science, he worked as a personal trainer throughout his years at FIU and continues working in the fitness industry today.
In 2010, after three years of graduate school, he attained his degree – Doctor of Physical Therapy. He immediately began working in an outpatient facility, helping athletes of all levels get back to their peak performance after injury.
However, he soon began feeling the pressure of the industry trend to increase patient volume. He knew he did not want to sacrifice the quality of his treatments, due to excess volume of treatments.
As a result, Alex founded Premier Athletic Rehab Center (PARC) in 2012 with the intention of creating a client-focused rehabilitation and wellness facility, that would provide premier services in a state-of-the-art facility. Today, he continues to serve his community, providing a hands-on approach to physical therapy and wellness that is second to none.
